So after the disappointment of this years 2018 Giro, Simon Yates finally realises his potential by winning this years Vuelta de Espana. He controlled the race once it entered the mountains and never looked under any real threat from his rivals. He becomes part of a select member of British riders who have won a grand tour as Britain continues to dominate winning the last five races. Britain has also won all 3 grand tours in this year with three different riders becoming the only country to have achieved that feat.
